Holistic Nutrition

Holistic Nutrition is about finding which foods and wellness practices work best for you.   Holistic Nutrition is about finding out the truth; which foods are safe and beneficial to eat, and which foods are not safe and beneficial to eat, for your short-term and long-term health and vitality.  It is about finding out which foods to eat and which foods to avoid, in order to improve digestion, assimilation and the absorption of nutrients. Because if we are not digesting our food, we are not getting the benefits from our food.

The term Holistic Nutrition usually needs some explanation as to what it is.  First, let's talk about what it is not. It is not about someone telling you exactly what to eat, how much to eat, and when to eat.  It is not about counting calories or avoiding carbs or "doing a cleanse".  It is not about only eating organic foods, or adopting a vegetarian lifestyle.

Unless you want it to be.

Because Holistic Nutrition is about finding the foods and daily wellness practices that best serve YOU.

This is an exploration of self support.  It is about taking charge of your own health.  It is about discovering how to make yourself feel alive; full of energy and vitality.  It is about finding your zing!

It is about taking all of these foods and learning how to make them taste yummy in your own kitchen.  It is also about eating these foods mindfully, with presence and pleasure.

Holistic Nutrition is not just about food.  It is also about incorporating daily wellness practices into your life, such as getting adequate rest and establishing healthy sleep patterns, staying hydrated, eliminating tension from your body and mind, participating in regular exercise that you enjoy, and being mindful of your energy gains and drains.  It is about learning to listen to your body, and to respect its wishes.  The body has amazing wisdom that you can access, once you can truly hear it.
